The only high street shearling jacket you need.

(As you can tell it was pretty cold when I was shooting this jacket & I was standing on a frozen lake – So I hope you appreciate it)

This jacket is from River Island. I was really surprised on the quality of the jacket considering. It has really made me look into river island more which i’ve noticed have really upped their game especially adding lines like their limited edition range.

I have been wanting a Borg lined jacket for a while ever since I saw the dreamy Balenciaga shearling aviator. However this is a lot more affordable at £110 (IF YOU”RE A SIZE SMALL OR XXS IT IS ONLY £55 – I’m wearing a size small here). I love the cuffs on the sleeves wrapped in Borg which are slightly cropped which I like to show what jumper or short you’re wearing underneath. I prefer it unzipped with a scarf rather than zipped up but each to their own. For a high street alternative I think it is a great jacket that not only looks stylish also keeps your super warm.

Travel Guide: Iceland

Wow… What a place. It is one of them places that you are maybe not as excited to go to and then you go and it is the best experience of your life. The main highlight for me in Iceland was the landscape everywhere you go. In particular mine was seeing the Glacier waterfall, the Geyser and the Blue Lagoon.

Visiting Iceland I felt so lucky, it was an oddly grounding experience as it really does highlight what is important. This was because of the nature it is so grand and wonderful it almost makes you feel small, it gives you perspective. As well as, the danger of nature makes you think that you shouldn’t take things for granted. (THAT WAS DEEP FOR A TRAVEL BLOG)

In terms of booking I highly recommend booking with TUI which works out cheaper as your flights, excursions and hotel is included in the price. We stayed at the Centre Hotel Arnarhvoll it had an amazing sky bar looking over the bay and the mountains this was where we ate breakfast and had a cocktail of an evening.

I loved Reykjavik itself it is so Scandinavian with lots of my favourite coffee shops Joe&TheJuice. The city (and the country) is a lot more forward than you would think it is modern and efficiently run.

For dinner we ate at an indian restaurant which was insane it tasted so good and the decor was beautiful. However you may need to remortgage to eat there, i’m talking £30+ for a curry with no rice (welcome to Iceland where they earn 3x more on average than the UK). Also we visited a turkish Meze restaurant and the Hard Rock Cafe. For lunch we got snack things like slices of pizza at the Deli or chips from Reykjavik Chips.

Fashion Side Note: These 2 items saved me in Iceland, I loved them so much. First being the warmest coat ever from Hugo Boss and this fleece oversized jumper from Urban Outfitters.

This was the best place I have ever been and ever will probably go because it is so unique. I really do hope this is on your bucket list, you won’t regret it. Thank you Iceland.

Travel Edition: Gran Canaria

DSC02030

Hello again guys,

As promised this week i’m posting something a little different. I know I mainly focus on men’s fashion but I also would like this blog to have hints of lifestyle as well. I’m hoping to stick to a schedule of 3 fashion posts and one lifestyle post etc…

Anyway i’m away at the minute in Gran Canaria and I thought it would be nice to do a travel blog on it a long with my favourite summer accessories. I will also be uploading a holiday look book within the next week.

Gran Canaria is one of the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa, owned by Spain. The island has a lot to offer including and an amazing spa (Lopeson Meloneras Spa) lovely restaurants and amazing scenery, considering it is a volcanic island. Not to mention the sand dunes (which is great for pictures for all you bloggers out there). Also a holiday here isn’t going to exactly break the bank with many affordable hotels and flights on offer.

My favourite thing in Gran Canaria would be the open air cinema! It is amazing to look up at the stars with a cocktail in hand watching the latest blockbuster with those you love.

I really do hope you like this lifestyle aspect to my blog, let me know what you think and whether you want to see something similar again.

Thank you again everyone,

Kane 🙂
